Financial donations had been gathered on-line and at Jersey Mike’s areas across the county to buy backpacks crammed with faculty provides throughout the five-week marketing campaign.
In accordance with the organizations, the 9,147 backpacks included greater than 220,290 particular person provides. A portion of the funds can even be donated to San Diego Youth Providers meals packages for homeless youth. Greater than 22,000 school-age kids had been recognized as homeless throughout the 2021-22 faculty yr.
