A person who drove underneath the affect of medicine, resulting in a crash that killed his passenger in Fallbrook, has been sentenced to 10 years in state jail.
Mark Aaron Sorden, 60, was sentenced Monday following his responsible pleas to felony counts of gross vehicular manslaughter whereas intoxicated and DUI inflicting damage for the July 8, 2021, crash that killed 55-year-old Oceanside resident Timothy Campbell.
Based on the California Freeway Patrol, Sorden was driving a 1996 Cadillac Seville eastbound on East Alvarado Road, which veered off the roadway simply earlier than 5 a.m.
After leaving the highway, the automobile struck a tree and overturned, in line with the CHP and the county Medical Examiner’s Workplace.
